Glen Gatling, LMSW, “Mr. G,” is a son, husband, father, mentor, life coach, educator, and social worker. Throughout his life, he has experienced numerous life-changing experiences that have changed how he perceives life. Through adversity, he realized the importance of mental health awareness and social and emotional life skills, igniting his passion to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker (License #21578)

Mr. G states that many clients come to counseling feeling stuck—trapped in patterns they can’t explain, driven by emotions they don’t fully understand, or struggling to make meaningful changes in their lives despite having the desire to do so. They may be dealing with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or a general sense of disconnection from themselves, from others, or their goals. Underneath these challenges, they often carry a deep longing: to feel understood, to gain clarity, and to move forward with more confidence and purpose. In his work, he specialize in helping individuals explore how their early life experiences and relationships have shaped their current thoughts, behaviors, and emotional patterns.

Through psychodynamic therapy, Glen will help you look beneath the surface to uncover the unconscious influences that may hold you back. This process brings insight, but more importantly, it fosters self-compassion and the capacity for real, lasting change. At the same time, Glen also uses motivational interviewing to support you in identifying your strengths, values, and  inner motivations. Rather than pushing change from the outside, you will work collaboratively to cultivate change from within—gently, respectfully, and at your pace. This approach is especially powerful for those who feel ambivalent or overwhelmed by the idea of change.

Glen’s goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore your inner world without judgment. Together, you’ll be about to uncover what’s been weighing you down and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others. You don’t have to navigate this alone. If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply and move toward a healthier, more connected life, Glen invites you to reach out and begin this journey with him.
